Finding Help for your Child or Adolescent

Call PerformCare at 1- 877- 652-7624 to refer a child or adolescent with serious behavioral, emotional or mental health challenges for services in the New Jersey System of Care.


Call 911 when:

  • Immediate help is needed
  • The life or health of your child or others is in danger
  • A bad reaction to medication or an increase in symptoms occurs

  • Center for Food Action: The Center for Food Action (CFA) provides emergency food, rental and utility assistance, counseling, and advocacy to our neighbors in need in Bergen County and in the Upper Passaic Valley. CFA also operates the Statewide Emergency Food and Anti-Hunger Network (SEFAN) which serves as a clearinghouse for information, training and technical assistance to emergency food providers and works to end hunger in our state.     The 2NDFLOOR youth helpline is staffed by trained professionals familiar with a myriad of young people’s concerns. Staff and volunteers offer comfort, respect, empathy and guidance to callers.

NJ 211: Providesassistance with finding the help you need, when you need it. NJ 211 is staffed by persons with knowledge of the community resources that are available in the area.
