What to Expect When You Call PerformCare

When you call 1-877-652-7624, you are calling PerformCare, the contracted systems administrator (CSA) which serves as a source of information and referral under contract with the Division of Child Behavioral Health Services in New Jersey. PerformCare functions as the filter or gateway to determine the level of care the child and the family will receive.

Please note: If you are a professional involved with the family or you are a friend who cares, you can help by calling PerformCare with the parent or guardian, whose verbal consent is needed in order to access help.

When you call 1-877-652-7624 you will hear an automated voicemail system with the following choices:

  • If it is a life threatening emergency or crisis, press 1
  • If you need access to Mobile Response (immediate help to address a crisis), press 2
  • If you are from DYFS and need information, press 9
  • All others hold for a customer service representative
