Bergen’s Promise understands the important role school plays in the lives of children and youth—it is a place where they learn, grow, build relationships, and develop the foundation for their futures. That’s why we remain committed to making sure our youth have the resources and support they need to start the school year prepared and confident.

Our 2026 Backpack and School Supply Drive was another tremendous success. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, Bergen’s Promise received and distributed more than 600 backpacks, each filled with essential school supplies to help students start the new school year ready to learn.

More than just school supplies, these backpacks represent encouragement, opportunity, and a community coming together to support local children and families. For many students, having the supplies they need can help ease the transition back to school and allow them to focus on what matters most—learning, growing, and succeeding.

We know this impact would not have been possible without the generosity of our donors and community partners. Their continued support demonstrates the incredible spirit of Bergen County and their commitment to helping local youth thrive.
