This internship is designed for junior and senior students majoring in Accounting or Finance. The intern will assist with processing invoices, reconciling accounts, tracking and reporting cash and credit card usage, and completing special projects assigned by the Controller. The intern will also develop positive interpersonal skills, adhere to company policies, and deepen their understanding of their academic knowledge through practical application.

The Education Collaboration Manager has direct access to community school partners as well as families served, the intern will interact with school partners and families served through some of the aforementioned responsibilities they will have. In support of the Education Collaboration Manager, the intern will represent Bergen’s Promise in a professional and positive manner within the Bergen County education partners, including but not limited to local schools, out of district schools, charter schools, private schools and/or school-based Juvenile Officers.

This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing within a nonprofit. Interns will gain an understanding of the different ways to promote services to families and keep them informed of important information in a dynamic way. Tasks will include creating compelling content for outreach events, social media, emails, promotional materials, and other marketing campaigns. Other opportunities will include fundraising and video editing. This internship provides a valuable chance to develop practical skills and contribute to meaningful projects that align with Bergen's Promise's mission of delivering impactful services to youth and families.

Bergen's Promise is the designated Care Management Organization (CMO) for Bergen County, New Jersey. We serve youth ages 5 to 21, with serious behavioral health challenges, substance abuse issues and developmental disabilities. Youth with chronic co-occurring behavioral and specific medical health issues will also be served through an enhanced medical care coordination component, the Behavioral Health Home (BHH). The goal of BHH is the joint coordination of health promotion with behavioral health care management. Public health interns will work within the BHH department to help realize this goal.

The intern will be an effective member of the Quality Assurance Team by conducting analytical studies, reviewing agency data, assisting in database administration, and creating reports for senior agency leadership. Using their unique abilities and talents, the aforementioned tasks will be completed with the goal of improving agency policy and procedure so that we can better serve the youth of our community.

A basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word, SQL programming language, knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
