NJ is Making Strides with CANS

In October, our Director of Quality Assurance & Corporate Compliance, Diane Ristaino, presented at the Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management (TCOM) Conference. The purpose of this conference is to generate a shared vision to help people and their communities achieve wellness goals. This year, professionals across the country in this field gathered to focus upon a theme of “Getting A Leg-Up on TCOM”.

Diane was joined by her colleague from Caring Partners of Morris & Sussex Counties, Amanda Thompson. Together they educated participants on the ability to:

  1. Describe how data was grouped to establish meaningful correlations (Factor Analysis).
  2. Determine whether changes in the groupings’ outcomes over time show improvement (Applying a person centered approach).
  3. Evaluate whether types of services provided impacted change (Logistic Regression).
  4. Evaluate whether the quantity of services provided impacted change (Logistic Regression).

They were able to explain this through how it has been achieved Care Management Organizations. The project showed areas of strength as well as needed improvement. The significance of this collaboration was on full display in this project as they share findings to continually help improve the support of children and families.
