On Thursday July 17th, Bergen’s Promise hosted an Open House to celebrate our growth in all aspects. We celebrated the many partnerships that we have established over the years and welcomed over 125 guests to continue those great conversations. In addition, we were able to showcase many of our expanded workspaces that help us continue to support the needs of our youth and families.
One specific expansion was the unveiling of our Wraparound Room. We celebrated this new space with a ribbon cutting ceremony that included Dean Pastras (Bergen’s Promise CEO), Shelisa Foster (Bergen’s Promise COO), Dr. Scott Sells (Founder of Family Traum Institute and Developer of Family Systems Trauma (FST)), the first Bergen’s Promise family to utilize FST, Bergen County Commissioner Mary Amoroso, Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton, and Jason Ingle (a representative from Senator Andy Kim’s office). We were also presented with a Certificate of Commendation by Commissioner Amoroso on behalf of the Bergen County Board of County Commissioners. Sheriff Cureton presented us with a Certificate of Commendation as well.
This room and it’s adjoining observation room was used to showcase the FST model and how we are working with families to help enhance the Wraparound Approach with our families.
Let’s keep the conversation going! Make sure to reach out to our team to continue great collaboration and partnerships with the goal of supporting youth and families!
