The Mad4Kids club (Making A Difference for Kids in Our Communities) is run by the students. The members of the club love to help local organizations that support children in need. The students found Bergen’s Promise through an internet search. They were very impressed by the support we provide to youth living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This led to them finding information about the special fund for Unmet Vision, Dental Needs of BP enrolled youth with I/DD an complex medical issues.
The Mad4Kids club members organized a month-long Penny Wars event across the three grade-level teams of students. The winning team got ice pops and Bergen’s Promise received a donation of $765 for the Special Fund for Unmet Vision, Dental of BP youth living with I/DD and complex medical issues. Through this donation, the students in the Mad4Kids Club are helping to raise awareness of the no cost, in-home youth and family support through the NJ Children’s System of Care.
