In April, we announced the Winners of our Max the Vax contest which was held for youth to create a piece of artwork or a video to encourage peers to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
As a follow-up, our contest winners presented a framed version of their artwork to their Primary Care Physician (PCP) to be displayed at their practice.
In the photo above, Diana, our first prize winner, presented her artwork to her PCP Dr. Baydar at Englewood Pediatrics (Left). Eli, our second prize winner, also presented his artwork to his PCP Dr. Macalintal at Children of Joy Pediatrics (Right). These PCP's were very proud of their patients and happy to showcase their creative artwork at their practice in hopes it will encourage others to get vaccinated as well.
"This is a phenomenal representation of our work in integrated health!" said Shelisa Foster, Bergen's Promise COO. "To be able to educate and empower youth and families with supports, resources, information and build their confidence in their abilities of advocacy is a wonderful thing. Congratulations to our exceptionally talented youth and the winners!!"
In addition to getting their artwork displayed, the winners were also awarded presented with a gift card, a framed copy of their artwork, and a certificate.
